"Scott Powell opened a policy for us and typed our home address incorrectly. Our coverage was fine for several months and then there was a processing issue with our credit card and because the address was wrong we didn't get the letter about the payment issue for 6 weeks. In that time StateFarm cancelled our policy. Scott could have called us or emailed us and he didn't do either. We didn't even know any of this was happening until we got a letter from the state of Maryland in March that we had a fee for not having insurance on our cars. We went to Scott to get an FR19 letter to show we did have coverage and he declined to give it to us or to help resolve the issue even though it all stemmed from an incorrect address. We now owe the state because of this mistake and he isn't willing to do anything to help with this."
"Mr. Stocker, I’m sorry to hear about the experience you’ve had. I am not aware of any address issues; however, the fines issued by the State of Maryland are typically the result of a lapse in auto insurance coverage. Maryland requires continuous insurance coverage without interruption, and any lapse can lead to state-imposed fines and penalties. My office made multiple attempts to reach you through phone calls, emails, text messages, and US Mail regarding this matter. You and I also discussed this in person, and I provided printed documentation of our communication efforts, which were left behind in my office. Again, I sincerely apologize for the frustration you’ve experienced, and I wish you the best moving forward."

They have been so diligent and patient with helping my husband and I with securing homeowners insurance for our first home so quickly! I cannot thank them enough for their great work!! I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with Scott Powell's State Farm! I had to update my insurance quite quickly due to my new car arriving earlier than expected and Donna took care of it so quickly! Donna helped me out at 4:50 on a Friday afternoon and was so patient and kind. They took care of me, gave my as many discounts as possible, and clearly care about their customers. "I’ve been with state farm now since 2023, they handle my homeowners insurance and my vehicles. Anytime I need anything have questions no matter who I talk to As always, pleasant and helpful (I’ve primarily communicated with Scott & Hope) and they’re nothing short of terrific, accommodating and understanding. Very knowledgeable punctual when returning phone calls etc basically if I could enlist them to deal with all my other background noise (ATT&T, Starlink, Samsung etc) well I would because they’re nothing short of great."

"Hope gave me policy info last week on a new house I was buying. Said Donna would call Friday for more info. Donna didn't call. Settled on the house yesterday, called the office today to find out about the policy. James said Hope wasn't there today but he would check into it and get back. He never did. I called again and asked to speak with Scott. He never called back. I called AGAIN and Scott still didn't respond. FINALLY Donna called to tell me State Farm wasn't doing any of these policies any longer since last April. That's odd because I got insurance on a purchase last April. And even more odd, Hope had quoted me financial figures for this most recent purchase. I am not only disappointed I cannot get a policy, but very disappointed in the shunning, ignoring, and rejection that I received from this state farm agent's staff. Pretty deplorable."
"Mr. McClure, I am sorry that you didn’t have the experience that you wanted at my office. To my knowledge you have had nothing but good and successful experiences with my office since I took it over in 2021, especially with Donna and Hope. I was made aware that Hope provided you a quote for a homeowner’s insurance policy that you weren’t satisfied with the premium and Donna would be in touch on Friday to review or make any changes. Unfortunately, Donna had been sick and not in the office as well as Hope has been out for a family member in the hospital. I do apologize for the situation at hand however I was also not made aware that you wished to speak with me as you typically work directly with Donna. If you wish to have a conversation regarding this matter I would be happy to schedule this with you to explain in more detail. However, in April of 2024 our product offerings for homeowners and rental properties did change based on overall claims of 2023 for our area and I see that your last property insured with my office was in fact in March 2024 just before those changes took effect. Thank you for the years of being insured with my office and if there is anything we can do in order to improve or remedy this experience please let me know."
